Alongside our meal services and Food or Fuel vouchers, One Less Worry offers additional support with everyday essentials and the extra pressures that Christmas can bring.
Availability varies throughout the year, depending on funding, donations and supplies. If you’re unsure what help is available, please get in touch.
Milk Vouchers
Milk is an everyday item that can soon add up on the weekly shopping bill, particularly for families with young children.
With support from Jersey Dairy and the Channel Islands Co-operative Society, our milk vouchers help families access fresh milk and make their food budget go a little further.
Vouchers are distributed through our referral partners. If your family could benefit, please speak to your school or a professional who supports you. You can also contact us for guidance on how to access the scheme.
Support at Christmas
Christmas can be a particularly difficult time when money is already tight. The cost of food, heating and presents can leave parents worrying about how to cover the essentials while making the holiday special for their children.
Our “From Us to You” Christmas hampers help ease some of that pressure, providing food for families over the festive period.
Depending on the support we receive, we may also be able to offer children’s gifts or toy vouchers. What we can provide varies each year, so please contact us or speak to your referral partner about the arrangements for this Christmas.
Christmas support is organised in advance through our referral partners. Collection information is shared directly with the families receiving support.
How to Access Help
If you’re already in contact with a school, social worker, Family Nursing & Home Care or another support organisation, please speak to them about making a referral.
If you don’t know who to ask, you’re welcome to contact us. We’ll explain what’s currently available and help you understand the next steps. Any support offered is subject to availability.
