Cook, share, care…

Our new Campaign aims to help members of our local communities connect with their neighbours by providing nutritional support to less fortunate families among them. Bringing a home-cooked meal to a family is such a great way to show we care.

We are excited to announce the launch of a community-building initiative called "Meal Mates: Cook, share, care". This campaign inspires families to prepare meals for one another, cultivating deeper community ties, empathy, and support while alleviating the pressure of meal planning. The charity and 'An Island Chef' are collaborating with the Channel Islands Coop on this remarkable project to aid those less fortunate.

"Meal Mates” is designed to promote the power of connection through shared meals. The campaign aims to unite neighbours in the spirit of kindness and generosity, enabling them to experience new cuisines, flavours, and cultures.

One of the goals of the 'Meal Mates' campaign is to reduce food waste by encouraging families to cook meals for each other and share resources, which can help ensure that food is not thrown away when families cook too much. This initiative is a great way to promote community connections and reduce food waste at the same time.

By participating in the initiative, families will have the opportunity to create real social value, as well as reduce the stress of meal planning and preparation where cooking facilities are limited or unavailable.

We will be sharing a new recipe every week and will focus on seasonal produce.

Enjoy the experience - ready set, cook!!
