Community Cooking Programme Mentor

Fiona has always had a love of cooking and completed her Home Economics A Level as well as gaining a Cordon Bleu Certificate. She spent 10 years mentoring people from all walks of life as a Jobcoach for a job placement scheme, and gained a Diploma in Education and Supported Employment – skills which she brings to her role in supporting people with Caring Cooks.

She is married to Derek and is a working mum of two boys who love football and food and like so many other Mums she has had to hone the skills of managing work, a family and delivering a healthy, cost effective meal onto the table each night.

In her role as Community Cooking Programme Mentor, she runs the courses each Monday and Wednesday, supporting people who want to learn, or gain confidence, in making simple weekday meals from scratch, in order to provide themselves or their families with nutritious low budget meals.
