We are a Jersey charity and registered NPO founded on the philosophy that good food and nutrition from birth through a child’s life is crucial to successful development, in all areas of their lives.

Our vision is to positively empower and influence the future health of our Islands children and young people, now and for generations to come, by supporting families, to make nutritious and tasty food, part of daily life. All of our services are either subsidised or provided free of charge to families and are funded entirely by charitable donations.

We currently operate three core programmes:

Weekly Meal Service –  a service designed to support families through hardship and allow them to eat well and eat together, at least once a week, without the worry of having to cook or spend money on ingredients

Community Cooking Programme –  5-week cooking courses for parents, with children of school age. It aims to give them the confidence, skills and knowledge to prepare their own meals from scratch, so that they can establish healthy eating habits for their families in the home

Kitchen Garden Project –A ‘plant to plate’ project designed to provide the children with the essential tools and skills they need to grow food from seed and prepare nutritious meals from scratch – equipping them with some of life’s most valuable skills. We currently run this with Samares School, Mont Nicolle and St Lukes School in Jersey, with plans to roll it out to three more schools in 2017.
